Why do female Celebrities wear different fragrance?

There have been many celebrities who have promoted perfumes for both men and women but what do they wear themselves?

Just because they promote the perfume does not necessarily mean they wear it.  It would appear on social media that it is one of the most asked questions across the network.

People are interested in what the celebrities wear as their signature scent and in view of this I have compiled a list of a few celebrities which may prove interesting.

Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham

One of the more recent fragrances favoured by Victoria Beckham is produced by Vilhelm Perfumery and is called Room Service. 

It is a combination of fresh mandarin and blackberry with a comforting musk base.  The fragrance was created to capture the glamour of Hollywood in a bottle and according to Victoria it is “super chic”.

Ashley Graham

Ashley Graham is a model and cannot live without her signature scent Chloé Eau de Parfum which was created by perfumer Michel Almairac. 

It is a floral based fragrance with top notes of Peony, Litchi and Freesia; middle notes of Rose, Lily-of-the-Valley and Magnolia and base notes of Virginia Cedar and Amber.

Rihanna

Rihanna favours a fragrance by Kilian Love called Don’t Be Shy.

 It is a sweet, suitably decadent gourmand blend with top notes of Neroli and Bergamot, middle notes of Orange Blossom and Bulgarian Rose and base notes of Marshmallow, Vanilla, Musk and Pomegranate.

Many other celebrities have commented on how good Rihanna smells.

The Duchess of Sussex favours a Jo Malone fragrance for daytime wear called Wild Bluebell which is light and fresh and not too overpowering.

For evening occasions Meghan prefers the Bvlgari Blv II which is an Amber Floral fragrance for women.  Top notes are Violet, Star Anise, Liquorice and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are iris, Patchouli and Vetiver; base notes are Cotton Flower, Musk, Benzoin, Tonka Bean, Amber and French labdanum.

When Kate Middleton married Prince William in 2011, she was wearing White Gardenia Petals by Illuminum.

It is a Floral fragrance for women and men and has top notes of Bergamot, Lily and Cassis; middle notes of Gardenia, Lily-of-the-Valley, Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang and base notes of Precious Woods and Amber.

Once the news broke that the Duchess had worn this fragrance the small brand became huge overnight with every bottle selling out immediately.

Kate Moss is a fan of Cerf Blanc by La Maison Hedonique.

It is favoured by several celebrities including Samantha Morton, Nick Grimshaw and Jonathan Ross.

It is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women and men and has top notes of Tea, Artemisia, Bergamot, Orange Blossom and Bitter Orange, middle notes of Pepper, Cardamom and Coriander and base notes of Musk, Woody Notes, Jasmine, Amber and Rose.

Ariana Grande is a big fan of floral scents and although she has promoted around six fragrances of her own, she favours several signature scents including Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Acqua, Amouage Blossom Love, Trish McEvoy Sexy 9 and Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb.

She loves all these fragrances and of the fragrances she promoted her favourite is Ari which is a sweet feminine scent with notes of pear, pink grapefruit and raspberry and like Ariana herself it is fruity, fun and feminine.

She is sensitive to a lot of the perfumes on the market so when developing her own she made sure the fragrances were modified for people with sensitive skin

Amongst the perfumes Beyonce favours are 273 by Fred Hayman which was the first perfume she ever wore and was also favoured by her mother. She is also known to wear Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Scent Spray, Beyonce Heat, Beyonce Rise and Beyonce Heat Rush.

Angelina Jolie has evolved just like her roles. When she’s wanting something deep, she has been known to wear Tom Ford’s Plum Japonais. This perfume has spicy, sweet, fruit, and cinnamon notes.

Angelina has also been known to wear Tom Ford’s Black Orchid which is a strong and intoxicating blend of scents.
