Lady Gaga Fragrances
Fame is the first fragrance of the American singer Lady Gaga.
The women’s perfume was released on August 22, 2012 at the Guggenheim Museum, Macy’s stores in the United States and a number of stores throughout the UK and in September under its Haus Laboratories label in collaboration with Coty, Inc.
According to promotional material, the perfume uses push-pull technology instead of the pyramid-shaped structure of traditional perfumes and combines notes of atrope, tiger orchid, frankincense, apricot, saffron and honey. By 2013, the fragrance had sold more than 30 million bottles worldwide and earned more than $1.5 billion worldwide.
On August 14, 2012, Gaga released a 30-second trailer for a commercial for “Lady Gaga Famed,” in which she used her song “Shit” as background music.
The commercial follows the same plot in which Gaga scrapes a black eau de perfume onto the face of a male model. At the end of the commercial, her Gulliver pose transforms into a golden statue resembling Cap Le Masterpiece.
It shows Gaga parading with two male models. On one side is a naked man dressed in latex, on the other a huge male figure in a semi-dress, naked on the side and on the back. His face is covered by a plastic sign. Two Gulliver statues of Gaga can be seen, one of a tiny man climbing up to her, and the other is cast in gold.
