The world of perfumes and colognes would not be complete without the inimitable Muhammad Ali. He was an American professional boxer, activist, entertainer, poet and philanthropist.

Nicknamed ‘The Greatest’ he is widely regarded as one of the most significant and celebrated figures of the 20th century and is frequently ranked as the best heavyweight boxer of all time.

Muhammad Ali was a legend in his own lifetime and was not afraid to stand up for what he believed in. 

He was admired and respected throughout the world for his steadfast beliefs whilst he still managed to bring a smile to your face with his rapping poetry and fast one liner, the most famous one being ‘float like a butterfly and sting like a bee’.

Muhammad Ali was not afraid to show his feminine side and in 2008 a company called DBI Innovations UK Limited was launched and decided to develop The Muhammad Ali Perfume Line which was released in 2017.

It was developed as a tribute to the boxing legend as one of the most significant and celebrated sports figures of the 20th century.

Fragrances as rounds

There is a line of seven exclusive fragrances consisting of two collections named ‘Legend’ and ‘Legacy’. Each collection includes unique scents which are labelled as ‘Rounds’. 

The seven fragrances reflect the personality and attributes of Muhammad Ali.  The Muhammad Ali perfume comes with an original glass bottle in the shape of a boxing glove.  It was designed in London and includes a hand finished cap with each fragrance containing its own coloured, leather lace. 

The package of the perfume is a solid cardboard box with a gold signature and a photo of Muhammad Ali in a formidable winning pose.

There were tailor-made contests and giveaways that were created to promote the brand and there was live streaming from special events like the world’s biggest cosmetic and beauty trade show that Muhammad Ali Legacy of a Legend Perfume participated back in March 2019.

The goal of the social media strategy for this brand is to make men feel connected with the ultimate icon in sports history and is based in finding a memorable way to demonstrate the exclusive scent’s brand by telling a story.

The men’s perfume industry is extremely competitive and to establish a brand that started from ground zero and to transform it into a brand that holds today an outstanding number of dedicated followers and fans is indeed a great achievement.

Legend Collection

Legend Round 1 EDP

This is an elegant fragrance comprising of amber, patchouli, lily, bergamot, pink pepper, sea notes, lavender, geranium, freesia, oakmoss and musk. It has a silver bottle with black laces.

Legend Round 2 EDP

This fresh fragrance includes bergamot, anise, mandarin orange, lavender, geranium, pink pepper, pineapple leaf, patchouli, suede, woody notes and amber. It has a silver bottle with blue laces.

Legend Round 3 EDP

This intense fragrance has notes of lavender, vanilla, aromatic, citrus, fresh spicy, sweet, powdery, woody, herbal and floral. It has a silver bottle with white laces.

Legacy Collection

Legacy Round 4 EDP

This fragrance is a woody aromatic musky tone including notes of aromatic, herbal, amber, soft spicy, lavender, woody, musky, powdery, citrus and patchouli. It has a silver bottle with black laces.

Legacy Round 5 EDP

The deep personality of this fougere aromatic fragrance has notes of violet, nutmeg, cedarwood, sandalwood, patchouli and vetiver.  It has a gold bottle with red laces.

Legacy Oud Round 6

A fragrance where Oud is mixed with fruit notes of pear, raspberry, cassis and orange blossom. It has a white pearl bottle with white laces.

Legacy Round 7 Muhammad Ali

This fragrance has the intensity of Oud at its best with notes of rose, pepper, coffee, incense, sandalwood and amber.  It has a white pearl bottle with gold laces.
